Caroline Abram
Caroline Abram trained as an optician for many years prior to founding her eponymous brand in 1998. In the beginning she concentrated on jewelry and eyewear accessories; lorgnettes, magnifying glasses, chains etc…. Her revival of the lorgnette as a fashion accessory gained her international success.
Her workshop consists of a small women’s team in Dakar where Caroline spent her childhood. Since 2005, they have been awarded four gold Silmo awards (the highest achievement in the eyewear design/production industry.)
Caroline Abram frames are made of the highest quality acetates, titanium, wood, silver and semi precious stones.
In 2008, as Caroline was designing her first eyewear collection, she visited Miami on holiday. She became smitten with the art deco architecture and vibrant lifestyle of South Beach. Caroline combined these new inspirations with her love of a good cat-eye shape and sixties vintage inspired fashion and color ways. Her designs have since incorporated these inspirations.
